My son and I decided to fix up his old "mountain" bike from when he was a kid since it had a nice chrome frame to start with. With a nice set of handle bars, 26" springer fork, flame-tread tires, and a lowrider seat to begin with (care of lovelylowrider.com) , we added a set of cast rims I dug out of the trash and re-built. We live in the "country", and when we take it into "town" to ride on the local bike trail, there is absolutely nothing we've seen that compares to it, and we get many inquiries about it. This was our first attempt at a "kustom" bike, and now we're hooked. We stumbled across your website, and now we have so many ideas, I can't wait to finish my shop and get started!! |
