Both bikes were stripped down to bare metal and repainted using spray paint. I wet sanded and buffed both to get a better finish. Various Dyno Kustom Kruiser parts were used as well as Dyno tires on both.
I am really happy with the way these bikes turned out. The ride is really laid back and comfortable. Lots of fun pimping them around Atlanta. Tackling an old tandem next. -Mike Pate
Mike Pate: Kustom Cruisers- Red Lowrider & Black Bobber
Red Lowrider.
The frame started life as a '39 BF Goodrich Crusader. I have chopped and stretched it. I welded in a spider web design for the gusset up front. The wheels were painted red to match the frame. The front end is done up with a set of 26-inch apes and a springer fork.

A custom seat post was made to provide me with a decent pedal stroke.

Black Bobber.
This is an old Huffy cruiser frame I found years ago. This is the first bike I did that really got me into the whole Kustom thing. The only frame mods that were done are the panels for the tank and rear brake cable routing through the frame. You can't miss the inverted fork which is an old Cannondale Moto 120. Their first attempt at a 4 inch travel downhill fork. The only thing it is really good for is exactly what I did with it. It runs a big 20mm hub laced to a Sun rim. On the rear is a Surly free hub laced to another Sun rim. The billet flamed front sprocket was a must. I saw it and had to have it for this bike. I flamed the tank to match the seat. The Dyno Fireball tires topped off the whole flame theme on this bike.
