My inspiration for the bike came from a variety of places - top fuel dragsters, custom motorcycles (my brother was the "Jesse James" of 1974), hot rods...handcrafted mechanical things. And I wanted a bike with a disc on the rear because I like a clean front end. I like bare polished metal, stainless, brass al, steel, and to mix textures like the steel and leather. I am not a fabricator but I can come up with a lot of out-of-the-box solutions to different aspects, such as my handlebar end caps are ss sewing machine bobbins cut in half. I emory-cloth the rubber off of schreader valves to reveal a beautiful brass piece that can be polished. I exposed the bearings in the hubs and run a thick oil for lube. Albert Bold of

custom made the Ti seatpost and engine-turned an aluminum headset spacer for me. I do enjoy riding the bike but it is not very comfy with the leather seat and low narrow bars, but the bike is not about comfort at all. Thanks for the appreciation, the bike does stop people in their tracks and i like that. Mark
