The blades at the front hub and at the rear hub are reminiscent of the famous Prussian "Pickelhaube". They are made of curtain rod end caps. The Red Baroness has a 5-speed gear shift and 24x3" Thick Brick tires. The headlight is a historic model with two bulbs (driving light and parking light) and a switch on the top. I bought it from eBay in a very rusty condition. After restoring, I modified it for battery powered operation. The rear light is a self made iron cross design using a battery powered diode rear light as donator and a candy box as housing.
Greetings from northern germany,

Markus Danschacher: "Red Baroness"
Manfred von Richthofen, the "Red Baron", was a famous pilot in the Prussian army in WW 1. He is well known for his legendary red 3-wing Fokker aircraft.
.
This is my interpretation of the Red Baron-Theme: The ladies' version of a Red Baron bike.
.
An old 28" ladies' frame was enlarged at the rear stays to fit a 3" fat tire. In the front of the frame I glued aluminum sheets between the tubes to create the tank design. Other aluminum sheets were glued between the rear stays and at the seat tube. The sheets at the rear stays are decorated with iron-cross cut outs.
I achieved the look of a classic motorcycle fork by using an old MTB fork and applying a second assembly on it that looks like a triple tree fork. On the rear fender I modelled a reproduction of the rudder unit of the Red Baron's aircraft using Styrofoam, epoxy resin and a polystyrene plate.
The handlebar is from a MTB and widened by welding additional handlebar tubes at the ends. The total width now is 92cm (approx. 36"). The grips are motorcycle spare parts in Harley Davidson look. The chain wheel is covered with a big iron cross on a polystyrene plate.
