The forks are 1 inch EMT fitted over a scrap BMX bike fork. I'd like to give some credit to Keith Moss (another BR&K fan) who has been kind enough  answer my emails to offer me some advice on bike building on a couple of my projects including Lowcash. His LWB 10 speed chopper I saw in BR&K a while back was the catalyst that motivated me to put a chopper together that's very similar to one I had as a kid. My children love it and I need to rotate who rides it to school.  It gets allot of attention when we ride up to the library in town. I really like it but what I like more is my kids LOVE it. I'm glad I could do this for them.

Paul M. Hamann: Lowcash
Hi. I look foreword to each issue of BR&K and I've built something that I'd like to share with the BR&K audience. I named it Lowcash because I built it from a 10.00 thrift store bike and $20.00 worth of paint and supplies. It's just your basic 3-speed grocery-getter and I chopped and refitted the rear triangle.
