Here are a few pics of my pub cruiser. It is a full custom bike--designed, built and spec'd to have soul. It began with the frame and will never end, with constant component changes to tweak the look. The frame itself was built by Jack Morton (who also posts on this site). It is a mix of square and round tubes, and I wish I had a detail of the down tube, which is both. The paint was done by Josh Feary. It has been a work in progress for some time now, and I am absolutely stoked to finally ride it. It has Gusset Pigmy cranks with a Profile Imperial 41-tooth chainring and Odyssey Triple Trap chrome pedals. The 26" wheels are 72-spoke fans by a company called F&R Cycle Products paired with brown-walled Electra Retrorunner tires. The fork is a repainted Electra double crown with a Standard stem and generic chrome ape bars, with billet grips by F&R. As of the writing of this they have been replaced by Brooks leather grips that match the saddle and the bag (which holds a wallet, lock, keys and cell phone better than the pockets that have betrayed me before). The leather bash guard on the top tube was hand-dyed to match these. The fender was rescued from a junk pile at a salvage yard, and resurrected by body putty and elbow grease. (Forgive the long component spec, but I am a shop junkie and that's what we do.) All the paint is hand-done (no decals, including the eye), and looks absolutely phenomenal. It was sprayed a metallic gold with brown panels and scallops, accented with cream highlights. It is tentatively called the "Bling Sling." To ride is to love. Jonathan Voegeli
