Just a few weeks ago, here in Santa Cruz the Tour de Fat was held and sponsored by the New Belgium Brewing Company, which happens to make my favorite beer, Fat Tire Ale. It was a lot of fun and there were some really cool and crazy bikes. The group known as Cyclecide was there from San Francisco with their bicycle rodeo, which featured some crazy choppers, tall bikes, modified kiddie bikes, and most popular of all- the swing bikes. Of course I had to get a pic of myself on some of the choppers. The guys from New Belgium were very cool, and they asked the Felix Street Coronets to lead the cruiser ride at the end of the day, which we happily did. Most memorable was the vintage green Schwinn Stingray, and the even more vintage Schwinn Indian. The owner had been offered $10 large for it and refused, now he tools around the park on it. At the end of the day we were sunburned and happy, a great event. Seth Wilson
